Regional Spotlight 2025 Artists Announced

After closing our inaugural Regional Spotlight exhibition, Hervey Bay Regional Gallery and Fraser Coast Regional Council is proud to announce the artists selected for the program in 2025.

Expressions of interest were welcomed from artists at any stage in their career residing in the Wide Bay-Burnett region. Six artists have been selected for the exhibition, which will take place at HBRG on the 24th May to 3rd August 2025. 

The selected artists for Regional Spotlight 2025 are: Jacob Bunt, Val McGrath, Lou Millen, Colin Reaney, Suzanne Roberts and Karen Stanton.

The exhibition will include pieces spanning painting, photography, printmaking, ceramics and mixed media work.

The selection panel surveyed a high volume of EOIs and were once again impressed by the diversity and talent showcased in the submissions for 2025. The artists were selected based on their innovative approach to materials and their compelling perspectives on subjects relevant to regional artistic practice.
