Hervey Bay Regional Gallery Official Reopening | Thursday 14 April 2022

Back

On Thursday 14 April a small ceremony was held to officially reopen HBRG after its extensive refurbishment.

Following a Welcome to Country from Butchulla Elder Aunty Karen Hall and speeches from Mayor George Seymour, State Member for Hervey Bay Adrian Tantari, Councillor David Lewis and Gallery Director Ashleigh Whatling, invited guests witnessed a traditional smoking ceremony and dance performed by Narvo and members of the Owens Clan before cleansing themselves in the smoke and entering this renewed space.
