Hervey Bay Regional Gallery is a public gallery funded and operated by Fraser Coast Regional Council as a community cultural development service. Along with supporting the professional development of artists, Hervey Bay Regional Gallery is committed to promoting significant aspects of the region, encouraging community participation in Gallery activities, fostering curatorial practice, and encouraging a healthy and sustainable local arts industry.
Hervey Bay Regional Gallery has undertaken significant community consultation to inform a new strategic plan (2021-2016). Valuable feedback and insights gained from the Hervey Bay Regional Gallery Consultative Groups and Indigenous Community Representatives Group, along with workshops, diagnostic sessions and focus group discussions were used in its formulation. This consultative process helped to identify the aspirations of our community and to define new strategic directions. Community feedback was also sought on the Draft Strategic Plan through the Fraser Coast Regional Council Engagement Hub.
Public consultation has now concluded. All feedback is now being considered in the final drafting of the plan.
