Regional Spotlight 2025

The annual Regional Spotlight exhibition surveys artistic practice across the Wide Bay-Burnett region.

The annual Regional Spotlight initiative is an opportunity for Wide-Bay Burnett artists at any stage in their career, working in any visual art medium, to receive mentorship and share their work at Hervey Bay Regional Gallery.

Developed from an open call, the 2025 exhibition presents a multifaceted survey of local artists’ reflections on the natural and built world, and ideas of home, memory and belonging.

Through painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media, artists represented in this year’s Regional Spotlight present unique perspectives on the world around them.

Regional Spotlight 2025 artists are: Jacob Bunt, Val McGrath, Lou Millen, Colin Reaney, Suzanne Roberts and Karen Stanton.
