Transforming Weeds into Botanical Paper with Zela Bissett
Join Regional Spotlight artist Zela Bissett to learn about the low-tech process of papermaking. Zela will show you how to make paper sheets from scratch, using invasive weeds and natural materials.
Spend the morning experimenting with the different plants and materials, with their natural textures and colours. Once dried, you will have unique paper sheets for your own creative projects!
What to bring:
Hat and water bottle
Clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty
Feel free to bring your own flowers and plants to add to the papers (must not be thicker than a petal)
This workshop is recommended for ages 10+.
Tickets are $35 per person
