HBRG Sketch Club August

A free all-ages Sketch Club at Hervey Bay Regional Gallery.

Over two Sundays in August HBRG Gallery Assistant and artist Nana Cai will demonstrate how to capture different types of light and weather conditions in your work. She will share her tricks and tips for working with pencils/paints to render the world around you and teach you the basics of perspective drawing, including linear perspective and atmospheric perspective.

Explore the surrounds of HBRG and City Park, taking the opportunity to sketch landscapes and the built environment.

Whether you are a beginner or a practicing artist, this Sketch Club is open to all levels of experience.

BYO your favourite mediums and sketchpad or digital tablet. Drawing boards and basic sketching materials available. Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note: these sessions will take place predominantly outdoors. Please bring a hat, sunscreen, and water.
