Wildlife Talk: Birds of Arkarra Lagoons
Join accomplished bird photographers Ruby Rosefield and Belinda Rafton for a fascinating talk on the birds of Arkarra Lagoons.
Presented in conjuction with the exhibition Alan Peebles: Bird Man at HBRG you're invited to learn more about the abundant birdlife on our doorstep at the Arkarra Lagoons, Dundowran.
A refuge for wildlife, Arkarra lagoons is a 14-hectare reserve consisting of natural and constructed lagoons, criss-crossed by a maze of pathways. It is enjoyed by local residents and visitors to the region, and especially by birdwatchers such as wildlife enthusiasts and photographers Ruby Rosefield and Belinda Rafton, both accomplished bird photographers. Ruby and Belinda have contributed photos for this presentation—a sample of nearly 200 different bird species that have been spotted there in all their glory—over many years of visiting Arkarra.
The presentation will conclude with an introduction to Bird Man by exhibition curator Llewellyn Millhouse.
