Kit Harington plays the title role in Shakespeare’s ever popular play - a thrilling study of nationalism, war and the psychology of power.

Fresh to the throne, King Henry V launches England into a bloody war with France. When his campaign encounters resistance, this inexperienced new ruler must prove he is fit to guide a country into war.

This exciting modern production directed by Max Webster explores what it means to be English, asking: do we ever get the leaders we deserve?

★★★★★ “an amazing play with a brilliant cast and everyone should see it.” Theatre Weekly

★★★★★ “burns with an epic intensity that is sure to keep you gripped from start to finish.” WestendBestFriend

★★★★ ”a muscular Harington is in his commanding element here, blokily ordinary with due nobility” Daily Telegraph

Henry V is about war, the fallible leaders that decide to instigate said wars and the innocent civilians that suffer because of those leaders’ decisions. Arguably this is very much a play for today as a man takes his country to war in pursuit of a spurious claim that the land he has invaded belongs to him.
